Petal Palette Baby Wipe Technique
Today’s card is for the Global Design Project Challenge Blog GDP #129 HERE and this weeks challenge is a colour Challenge.
It’s funny you know, looking at this colour challenge, it reminded me that I don’t use Soft Suede a lot, I have come to the conclusion that I am not fond of this colour! But it’s in the challenge so I had to use it, Whilst I love this card I am still not sure of this colour still it seems!! But I do have to concede it does make for a pretty card!
I chose the stamp set I wanted to use which Is Petal Palette coupled with the matching die set.
I started this the design using a colour wash of Calypso Coral on Very Vanilla Card Stock, with a water brush and some ink form the ink pad, I then took a baby wipe and scrunched it up, dabbed it in the Calypso Coral Ink Pad, and then dabbed it in a pouncing motion on top of the wash.
I then stamped the rose image with Soft Suede and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, I then coloured using Calypso Coral light and Dark Stampin Blends and Old Olive Light for the leaves.
I die cut the image and then disected some of the leaves so that the main part of the image stood proud and the leaves were tucked underneath.
I cut the filagree die cut from Pear Pizzazz Card Stock, adhered this over the washed piece of card mat and then laid some ribbon of co ordinating colours.
Don’t you just love SU for co ordinating ribbon!
To finish it off, I coloured some rhinestones using Stampin Blends and then stamped the sentiment from the Petal Palette Stamp Set.
