Hello my Crafty Friends,
Today’s creation is my take on my team challenge of Casing the catalogue.
The card we are casing is from the front cover of the Annual Catalogue, I love this layout and this is what I decided to case, and chose to use Cake instead of foliage, I had some Birthday cards to make, so using a great layout always helps those creative juices flow.
The patterned paper comes form the Gorgeous new sale-a-bration papers called Painted Seasons they have flowers on one side and modern designs on the other side.
I love this design, and chose my colourway around it, Pool Party, a colour I haven’t used in a while, it’s such a pretty Blue, or is it Green ?? It’s definitely an in-between colour isn’t it!
I added a splash of Lovely Lipstick just to make it pop!
I just LOVE the sentiment, I am all about Cake I have to say, I LOVE homemade Cake! And the recipient Chris makes some Gorgeous cake and fabulous Breads so I know she will love this card.
I coloured the sentiment using Light and Dark pool Party Blends, and then I am not sure if you can see it, I added some clear liquid Glue for added texture and to make it pop a little! be careful not to flood like I did on the ‘A”.
I did the same for some of the cake too!
I added some hand drawn strings to the balloons, stamped using images from the Balloon celebration Stamp set and punch the out using the co ordinating Balloon punch.
