Hello my Crafty Friends,

Today I am participating in a new Blog Hop Called Stamper Showcase, There is fabulous talent in this Global Blog Hop Team and I am thankful to be asked to join them all in the Stamper Showcase.

This months theme is Birthdays, and I have made two cards exactly the same design but different colours, So they appeal to both Male and Female.

I have used the water splashing technique, I sponged some water colour paper in ink and then flicked some water from an Aqua painter and then absurd it up with some paper towel.

For my first card I used these colours.

I started with a piece of water colour card stock, I die cut a rectangle from the new Stitched Rectangle  Framelits, and then set to sponging the lightest ink first, I used circular motions on laminated piece of card when I was happy with the colour, I set about flicking water from the aqua painter,   (There is a method to this, the higher you flick your brush the bigger the splats, the lower  the smaller the splats).

I soaked up the water splats with some paper towel, do not let it dry on its own, it won’t have the desired effect. You need to take the colour away with the paper towel.

Once this has been done and I was happy with the splashed effect, I put it back into the stitched die at an angle and cut again  to get the abstract shape, I cut a piece of silver foil using the same die, and adhered to the back of the water colour card,

The black background was embossing using the Dynamic Hexagon Embossing Folder, I adhered this the the card blank, and then attached the gear shaped die cut which was cut using the Garage Geras Thinkits Dies and then attached the watercolored piece onto top.

My second card used these colours.

The Amazing You words were cut from the Celebrate You Dies, I then stamped  the sentiment in versa mark and heat embossed in white, to make it pop!

 The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays’s Stamp Set
